A Bolivar, Missouri photographer who often travels to Springfield to take advantage of all of the beautiful and unique locations it has to offer! Senior portrait sessions are some of my favorite sessions because they are so customized, full of energy, and of course... fun!
So, you've decided you want to have your session in and around Springfield, MO... I personally think that is a great choice! We have a ton of location options to choose from, which really gives us the power to customize your session and it's vibe while providing a TON of diversity in your images!
Here are 10 of my FAVORITE places to take senior pictures in Springfield, MO!
Jubilee Park
A great little spot right downtown! From the Route 66 sign to the various sculptures and murals, there are a ton of fun things to incorporate into your session. Right across the road, you can also find the Gillioz Theatre, which is super fun to include as well! This location just screams youthful fun!
Black Palace
An edgy choice, the outside of this Air BnB is stunning for senior portraits! The contrast between the black painted brick and wooden door is captivating and the glass in the doorway gives you the opportunity to capture some truly creative portraits!
Downtown Square
A fun area full of tons of opportunity for great photos! The downtown square in Springfield, MO. has many storefronts, outdoor tables/chairs, painted buildings, grid-grass (I don't know what else you call it, but it's cute!), and so much more to offer!
Hotel Vandivort
This location is super popular with my clients - and for good reason! Hotel V offers a modern industrial vibe and tons of diversity. From two hotel entrances to a rusty sculpture or red brick alley, it's always a favorite when images are delivered!
Parking Garage
One of my favorite spots is the top of the parking garage! Just a skip over from Jubilee park, it's a natural next stop! It provides plenty of room to move around and the city skyline and sunset in the background is absolutely beautiful!
Doling Park
A great, tucked away park that offers greenery, a pond and bridge, and stone building!
(P.S. If looking for a more manicured park with more flowers - Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park is another great option!)
Murals
There are SO many awesome murals painted around Springfield, MO. and they always make a great background for senior pictures. MSU Brick City
Missouri State University's Brick City is a great spot to hit for your senior photo session!
It's a perfect spot to be as the suns getting lower, offering metal railing, stairs, and of course - brick!
Historic Commercial Street (C-Street)
C-Street is such a fun and unique area to take your senior pictures. This historic district offers so many fun storefronts, lights, interesting spots to use for your photos!
Fellows Lake
Just outside of Springfield, Fellows Lake is a great spot for those looking for nature! From the lake, rocks, fields, and everything in-between... this location makes for an absolutely beautiful backdrop for your senior portraits!
